I did a really scary thing today. I finally took my scooter on the highway. I rode from Yuma to El Centro, which is about a one-hour trip. It was terrifying. The wind was so strong and it was blowing me all over the road. My helmet was pulling off my head from the wind. I will wear a full-face helmet if I attempt this again. I will have to check the wind speeds at both ends of the trip. I ride a Yamaha Xmas and it is pretty light for the highway, I guess. It was supposed to do 100mph, but it didn’t get anywhere near there. It did do 80 mph, though.

This has been a heck of a week. We are moving to a new place in Yuma. It is a house and is much larger than our apartment. I think we’ll be happier with all the cats in that place. I will post photos when we get settled in. I took a lot of the art off the walls today. I was inspired when I came home and saw that Stephen had taken down most of his wall art. I’m glad he’s excited. I listened to podcasts and took a nap after that. The wind took it out of me. I felt like I had been swimming in the ocean all day. It was the same kind of tired.
